A Romantic Elopement in the Pines

July 19, 2018

Chances are you've already seen photo's from this dreamy styled shoot floating around Instagram & Facebook in the last couple of weeks. So many great vendors came together to bring my vision to life and I could not be happier with the results.

When I made the huge decision to launch my own company in December of 2017, I had this exact shoot in mind. Shortly after I launched, I approached the amazingly talented Julie Isaac of Julie Isaac Photography to photograph this styled session because I knew her style of photography would fit the vision perfectly! Julie has such an eye for detail and her work always blows me away. Not to mention she is always so much fun to work with!

I love, love, love weddings of all sizes but there is just something about an elopement! They are so personal and romantic and becoming more and more popular.

I wanted the tablescape to be romantic and a little moody so I chose a wooden harvest table, crossback chairs, grey sheer draping, gold savoy flatware, & selection of glassware all from Handy Special Events. The look was finished with gorgeous florals from Twig & Bloom, stunning stationery items by Paperocelot Studios and candlelight.

For the Ceremony, I chose candles at different, random heights & sizes to create a romantic aisle. Pieces of birch wood found in the area were placed at the front of the aisle which completed the look. Paperocelot Studios provided beautiful vow books which I think are such a wonderful keepsake for any couple on their wedding day.

Paperocelot Studios also provided us with a black paper & copper calligraphy backdrop which was used alongside a vintage love seat from Ann Unique Rentals to create a cute & cozy place to cuddle up and take some pretty incredible photos.

The stunning gown for this shoot was made by the very talented Laurie Brown Fashion. This dress was everything & it had POCKETS!!

The bride's look was completed with makeup by Holly Decker Makeup Artistry, hair by Danielle Dore and jewelry by Alexandra Kathlyn Accessories. Rings for both our bride and groom were provided by GMG Jewellers

Instead of cake, I approached PALS donuts who provided us with some delicious pillows of amazingness that seemed to disappear as soon as we were done shooting them..... I guess we'll never really know where they went.

Lastly, smoke bombs. Need I say more?!?
