We are taking it back today to our first styled shoot in June of last year. I saved blogging this one specifically for now because the days are cold and dark, it's mid winter & it's oh so nice to revisit summer wedding season!
I wanted this creative collaboration to be timeless as well as a look that is attainable for local brides. I am a true believer in incorporating minimal yet beautiful decor as well as reusing pieces such as florals in multiply ways. This not only reduces waste but also has a positive impact on the event budget.
Because the venue is already so bright and beautiful, I wanted to keep this design very modern, bright and chic. I chose to incorporate bright white linens & dinnerware, elegant glassware & matte black flatware. A beautiful greenery garland that cascaded from the top of the table added texture and flow. Each place setting featured velum menus attached to small placards with sleek clips that added a modern elegance. The day of stationery was carried in from the invitation suite which also featured the same modern font, clean lines, velum envelope & sleek clip. The table was finished with candlelight, a sprig of greenery on each place setting and surrounded by wooden cross back chairs.
For the ceremony space, the same greenery garland repurposed on the table was used on the arch along with sheer whit draping creating a minimalist romantic backdrop. The look was completed with candles of varying heights in glass vases and a touch of loose greenery framing the top of the aisle. Velum envelopes that held fresh leaves for guest to toss were a fun touch!
